Saturday was the 2016 Airbnb Brooklyn Half. I went out on this course for the 8th time, but this time I was undertrained, exhausted and one day into an antibiotic regimen to kill the sinus infection I was diagnosed with on Friday.
So to say this wasn’t my best Brooklyn Half is an understatement.
But, like the trooper I am, I set the alarm for 4AM, dragged my butt out of bed and by 5 was on a southbound 2 train to the borough of my birth to meet up with 26,999 others to run from Prospect Park to Coney Island.
My buddy Dan volunteered to carry his GoPro and play 2nd Unit to the Dirty Old Sneakers Production Team (which made a grand total of two members for the second time in history. The first being this race).
What I wasn’t able to do in my sneakers, I think I was able to accomplish on the computer.
